Points of Contact Isaiah Berg ‘11 Recolonization Chair Isaiah Berg ‘11 grew up on a third-generation family farm and ranch in rural North Dakota. While at Dartmouth, he served as President of Sigma Phi Epsilon and the Cycling Team, graduating with a major in Geography and minor in Economics. He traveled to South America as a Tucker Fellow and to Europe while attending the Geography Foreign Study Program in Prague. Following graduation, Isaiah and his two brothers rode their bicycles from Alaska to Argentina on behalf of Habitat for Humanity as part of a project called Bound South. He then served for six years in the United States Marine Corps as an infantry officer and now attends business school at Wharton. He and his wife Shanel Balloo plan on settling in New York following graduation. His interests include bicycles, agriculture, technology, finance, new urbanism, and reading. Jim Shields ’88 Communications Chair Jim Shields '88, Communications Chair, was social chair while at NH Alpha and majored in History with a minor in Education. He worked in the admissions office after college as an Assistant Director of Admissions until meeting his wife and moving back to CA. Once situated, he and his wife opened two women’s only health clubs in the Sacramento area, which they ran for 5 years. After selling the business, Jim moved into healthcare, starting with pharmaceutical sales and moving into the Long-Term Care segment (Seniors) which he has been a part of for the past 20 years. He currently works for SmartLinx Solutions and provides workforce solutions to long term care facilities across the western US. He is married to his wife, Beth, for 26 years and they have two kids and three grandkids. Steven Tseng ’95 Tu ‘01 Fundraising Chair Steven Tseng ’95 Tu ‘01, Fundraising Chair, grew up in Palos Verdes Estates in California and majored in Economics and Asian Studies while at Dartmouth. Steven worked for PwC in Washington, D.C., Tokyo, and Boston before becoming Head of Financial Advisory Services for KPMG in Finland. Subsequently, he served as China/Hong Kong and Asia Pacific Transfer Pricing leader for KPMG. Steven rejoined PwC in 2011 to lead PwC’s Global Value Chain Transformation and was seconded to PwC’s Shanghai office. He returned to New York in 2014 to lead PwC's Asia Business Center. In January 2020, Steven retired from PwC to head Ampac Enterprises LLC to expand Ampac’s real estate portfolio and philanthropic endeavors. Steven joined Baker McKenzie in December 2020. Steven serves on the board of Tuck Business School as well as chairs Tuck’s Asia Pacific Board. He is a member of the New York regional committee and co-chairs the Asia Pacific regional committee for Dartmouth’s $3 billion Capital Campaign. Steven served on the Nominating and Alumni Trustee Search Committee for Dartmouth and is on the board of the Hood Museum. Steven is on the Museum Advisory Council of the American Museum of Natural History in New York. He is married to his wife Anne, for 20 years and lives in New Canaan Connecticut with their son. Tim Laboy-Coparropa – National Headquarters Volunteer Services Director As volunteer services director, Tim supports district governors and AVCs in volunteer recruitment, coordinates volunteer onboarding and training tools, creates opportunities for volunteer recognition, and facilitates volunteer training at SigEp regional and national programs. Tim is a graduate of Christopher Newport University, where he received a bachelor's in political science. An alumnus of the Virginia Pi Chapter, where he served as vice president of programming, Tim also served the campus as executive vice president of the student assembly and president of Order of Omega, the Greek leadership honor society. Prior to becoming the volunteer services director, he served as a volunteer engagement manager and the regional director and volunteer specialist in Virginia. Outside of work, Tim enjoys live music, reading, training for triathlons and cheering on the San Antonio Spurs. He manages the chapter services, recruitment services, membership experience and volunteer services teams.Email:paul.andersen@sigep.net Pat Githens – National Headquarters Recruitment services director Pat manages the team that works with recruitment officers to provide in-depth coaching, practice their sales pitch, review strategies including bolstering the BMS, implement a recruitment pipeline, and set and attain recruitment goals.
